[Risolto] [Kernel] forse non aggiorna il kernel

ho un dubbio,

ho letto da qualche parte che hanno trovato dei seri problemi nella versione del kernel 2.6.24-16 su sistemi ubuntu e infatti la versione desktop chiede l' aggiornamento alla revisione 2.6.24-18

mentre ho notato che nella versione server mi rimane la 2.6.24-16
anche se eseguo i comandi per aggiornare il sistema:

sudo apt-get upgrade

è tutto normale oppure ho il sistema configurato male ?

Potrebbe essere che il kernel l'hai installato, ma non lo carichi.
Controlla se i pacchetti del kernel sono installati e a che versione sono e posta il risultato di ls -l /boot, di ls -l /vmlinuz /initrd.img e il contenuto di /boot/grub/menu.lst.

Dunque, il kernel effettivamente, manca. Ora, io non sono un grande esperto, ma forse basterebbe installare/aggiornare il pacchetto linux-server. La versione nel frattempo è aumentata ancora, è la 2.6.24-19.
Curiosità: hai un'interfaccia grafica o ti basi solo su terminale?

solo da terminale. tramite ssh ( così risparmio un monitor )
il comandi che uso per aggiornare il sistema sono questi:

perchè ho appena fatto caso ad una cosa !!

con il comando sudo apt-get upgrade ritorna

ho trovato il comando per aggiornare anche questi pacchetti:
