[Wireless] Mi sa ke ho fatto danno

Ciao a tutti, sono nuovo del forum e del mondo di ubuntu...dopo un più di tempo di titubanza mi sono deciso a installarlo (anke perchè studio ingegneria informatica e mi sembra il caso di passare a qualcosa di più serio rispetto ad Win), e devo dire ke mi sono trovato bene da subito...cmq passiamo al sodo, stavo tentando di aggiornare i driver della scheda wireless del mio notebook (un asus a6g) la intel pro-set 2200bg, lo so adesso mi direte perchè l'ho fatto visto ke funzionano già bene quelli inclusi nel kernel, xò mi serviva un driver ke permettesse di fare l'iniezione dei pacchetti con aircrack (ke ho già usato con la distro backtrack2) il problema è ke mi ha dato degli errori in fase di installazione dei nuovi driver e non riesco più ad installarli, e nemmeno a recuperare quelli vecchi...come posso fare??

Le versioni che ho scaricato sono le ultime disponibili su sourceforge (ipw2200.1.2.2, ieee802111-1.2.18, e il firm è il 3.0)
Allora dopo aver inserito il comando

sudo apt-get install linux-headers-'uname -r'

Lettura della lista dei pacchetti in corso... Fatto
Generazione dell'albero delle dipendenze in corso     
Lettura delle informazioni di stato... Fatto   
E: Impossibile trovare linux-headers-uname -r

poi da bravo furbo nonostante un errore sono andato avanti e il successivo errore è :
(mi sono spostato nella cartella contenente i driver)
sudo rmmod ipw2200

ERROR: Module ipw2200 does not exist in /proc/modules

e qui mi sono fermato..

lo so adesso mi direte perchè l'ho fatto visto ke funzionano già bene quelli inclusi nel kernel, xò mi serviva un driver ke permettesse di fare l'iniezione dei pacchetti con aircrack

a quanto ne so e' gia' possibile..a meno di patch che io non conosca.

sudo rmmod ipw2200

cosi' i driver li togli..tu li devi mettere, quindi semmai

ok..per il dirscorso della patch il mio problema era ke con backtrack2 i driver caricati non mi consentivano di fare iniezione di pacchetti per testare le reti wireless, quindi pensavo di avere bisogno di driver patchati..cmq grazie adesso provo, ma mi sapresti dire se la procedura indicata nel link è corretta??

si indicativamente si fa cosi', anche se mi sembra che ci siano delle cose un po' inutili..tra l'altro non sono molto sicuro sul subsystem..non credo funzioni ancora con i recenti kernel visto che il supporto si e' spostato verso il mac80211..
Per queste guide sempre meglio seguire le istruzioni intel..

dipende se sei riuscito a sovrascrivere lo stack ieee80211 del kernel oppure no..nel primo caso puoi solo ricompilare, se hai i sorgenti del kernel installato, solo il modulo ieee80211..altrimenti il kernel lo puoi anche "buttare", nel senso che non riuscirai piu' ad installare gli ipw2200
Si puo' avere l'output della compilazione?

e' come per i vecchi ipw3945
Estrai il subsystem ieee80211-xxxx, lo rinomini solamente ieee80211 e lo sposti in /usr/src
Prima compili quello, e poi gli ipw2200 con questa sintassi:

Quindi come pensavo non dipende da me ma dal driver, ok proverò a cercare un'altra versione....oppure faccio una bella reinstallazione??

Stavo provando a seguire altre procedure e versioni più vecchie ma tutte portano allo stesso risultato (good) (un bel niente (bad)), cmq guardando nelle cartelle di sistema ho notato ke in /lib/modules/ ho due cartelle chiamate una 2.6.24-16-generic e 2.6.24-19-generic...questo può aiutare a risolvere??
Inizio a pensare ke mentre ho fatto la rimozione dei "vecchi" driver ho cancellato anke i file .h e tutti i possibili riferimenti al ieee80211, se fosse così è possibile fare qualcosa??

bhe..no, li ci sono i moduli installati..non c'e' nulla di interessante per il tuo problema.

no adesso sto usando ubuntu hardy, backtrack lo avevo usato in passato e mi aveva dato dei problemi con l'iniezione dei pacchetti, x questo dopo aver installato ubuntu sono andato a cercare dei driver ke mi consentissero l'iniezione dei pacchetti, e poi è vunuto fuori tutto il casino
