[NVidia] nVidia - problemi avvio - modalità MINIMA sempre....

Ciao a tutti.
Purtroppo ho un po' di problemi con la nVidia 8400 GTS del mio Dell XPS 1330.
OGNI volta che avvio, Ubuntu Gutsy mi parte in modalità grafica MINIMA.
Devo spegnere il gnome display manager da terminale e reinstallare i driver nvidia.
Questo si ripete ad ogni riavvio del pc, ormai ho 80 backup del file xorg.conf!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ::) ??? ::)

Che pensate possa essere? Cosa posso fare?
