RISOLTO!!!! domanda sul pacchetto linux-restricted-modules
vorrei qualche chiarimento sul pacchetto linux-restricted-extras, dato che non ho trovato molta documentazione in giro.
So, bene o male, a che serve ma dove posso trovare qualche nozione in più??
è possibile che i problemi di wireless (driver abititato ma non in uso) dipendano da essi??
se ho installato questo pacchetto è necessario avere anche ubuntu-restricted-extras? potrebbero andare in conflitto?

grazie Guido, il casino l'ho spiegato in un altro post, ma riassumendo, mi è sparita la wireless da un notebook HP 6720s con scheda broadcom 4310. Prima funzionava e poi POUF!!! sparita.
forse ho aggiornato qualcosa? di sicuro.
fatto sta che tra i driver con restrizioni mi trova il driver ed è abilitato, ma non in uso.
che fare? secondo me c'è casino con il kernel, ma non so da dove cominciare e non ho trovato niete che possa aiutarmi, e dire che di "howTo" ne ho provati parecchio... per questo volevo capirci un pò di più di kernel, per capire dove mettere le mani
