[Risolto] Effetti grafici

Ho installato da quattro mesi Ubuntu 8.04 e al primo avvio dopo l'installazione ho impostato gli effetti visivi (Sistema> Preferenze> Aspetto) al massimo, e fino a qui tutto liscio, andavano a meraviglia. Il problema si è presentato al secondo avvio quando tutti gli effetti grafici andavano a scatti e sono stato costretto a impostarli al minimo. Siccome voglio anche io il cubo e tutto il resto volevo sapere se ci sono possibli soluzioni al mio problema.

Ho un computer Packard Bell EASYNOTE BU45-O-091 con una scheda video Intel® Graphics Media Accelerator 950 e queste le ulteriori informazioni sulla scheda:

ho una scheda simile alla tua e tutto è ok.
Cosa hai fatto precisamente per attivare gli effetti? Solo Sistema> Preferenze> Aspetto ?

Sono andato su Sistema > Preferenze > Aspetto, poi sulla scheda Effetti visivi e ho selezionati la voce Aggiuntivi: fornisce un ambiente grafico esteticamente più accattivante, ma richiede schede video più veloci. E come ho già detto all'inizio andava tutto bene, poi al secondo avvio tutto andava a scatti.

Questi sono i driver delle schede ATI.

Disinstallalo e riavvia.
