masterizzatore lento

dopo qualche mese in cui tutto aveva funzionato bene, ecco rispuntare i problemi

Brasero continua ad avere una serie infinita di bug ma soprattutto non riesco a masterizzare a velocità sufficiente.
Anche K3B per fare un DVD impiega circa 40 minuti.

Che sia un problema del DMA?

ho dato questo comando

A me sembra che il supporto sia andato.... non il masterizzatore.

sì, sembra che abbia a che fare con gli HD, però che siano saltati due dischi contemporaneamente lo definerei poco probabile (una possibilità su 100.000 ?)

Il DMA per il masterizzatore risulta "on" o no ?

Guarda i msg dall'inizio....
Il DMA salta se il supporto è illeggibile, è successo anche a me.
Il DMA inizialmente è ok.
Cambia cd, credo sia lui il responsabile, prendine uno RW e fa qualche prova....

PS come sono collegate le periferiche ide nei canali?
hda e hdb sembrano dischi e hdc il masterizzatore, almeno a giudicare dal DMA in uso....

Sì, esatto
dal poco che capisco, linux cerca di far partire tutto standard (due dischi a 100 e mast a 33) poi si accorge che i dischi a 100 non vanno (per errori che non mi sono chiari) e li scala fino a 44, ma non dice nulla del mast

Non mi rendo conto se il settaggio definitivo è no/44/33 o se si è rotto le balle e toglie tutto a tutti

P.S. ho ridato il comando e mi da un risultato diverso (ma simile) con il primo disco come il secondo

che pc hai e che distro stai usando?

pc ? autocostruito ... Atlon 1700, 512M Ram, due dischi 60 e 60, un mast DVD. Ti servono indicazioni precise ?

il problea del DMA lo danno hda ed hdb... dovrebbero esere i dischi rigidi, non il masterizzatore....
Fammi vedere cosa dice fdisk....

dovrei esserci riuscito a risolvere .... almeno gli errori sugli hdd

incredibile ma vero: era il cavo EIDE
l'ho sostituito e magicamente tutto è filato liscio
dma 100 su hda
dma 100 su hdb
dma 33 su hdc

devo ancora verificare che succede durante la masterizzazione, però  sono fiducioso
