[NVidia] come configurare la schermata di avvio

Sto utilizzando con grande soddisfazione ubuntu, funziona tutto alla perfezione tranne che la schermata di inizio, per intenderci quella che richiede nome utente e password.
Le inserisco "alla cieca" una alla volta e premo tab .  In pratica vedo solo un enorme logo di ubuntu. Come poso fare per ridimensionare la finestra?

Ciao mi sposto qui perchè è giusto che si risolva al topic aperto da te e non in privato, comunque devi modificare la sezione screen i questo modo, riapri il file con

sudo gedit /etc/X11/xorg.conf

e modificare quello in grassetto e solo quello

Ma che hai toccato displayconfig-gtk?

Mai fare una cosa simile con una scheda nvidia.

Fai riscrivire xorg.conf a nvidia-settings senza il merge che fai prima, poi rimetti la tastiera in italiano.
