INSTALLAZIONE DI KDE 4.1 NON FUNZIONA

Ciao,
ho appena provato ad installare sul mio PC il nuovo KDE 4.1, il mio OS è kubuntu con KDE 3.5.
Ho seguito le istruzioni di questo sito che mi sembra il più affidabile: http://www.kubuntu.org/news/kde-4.1,
ma dopo aver digitato : "sudo apt-get update && sudo apt-get install kubuntu-kde4-desktop"
il terminale mi ha dato questo errore:

ho provato e riprovato più volte, ma invano.
può aiutarmi qualcuno?

Puoi postare il tuo sources.list?

Il problema potrebbe essere dovuto ad un pacchetto scaricato che è "rotto" (broken), pulisci la cache di Synaptic (o il package manager che usi) e cerca di riparare i pacchetti danneggiati (con le apposite opzioni).
Poi riaggiorna i pacchetti.

Inoltre potrebbe anche capitare che questo sia dovuto ad alcune dipenzenze non risolvibili (pacchetti mancanti sul server) perchè magari stanno facendo l'upload di nuovi pacchetti e sostituendoli a quelli vecchi.

In ogni caso ricorda che kde 4.1 non è propriamente una versione stabile, ma più che altro una versione di sviluppo, per trovare bachi ecc. per la prossima release, quindi magari portebbe essere un po' instabile.

oggi ho provato ad usare l'istruzione aptitude e sembra aver funzionato.
Però ora sorge un altro problema,

COME SI FA A LANCIARE KDE 4.1???

dalla schermata di login (dove devi inserire nome utente e password) scegli Opzioni > cambia sessione , ti compare un menu dove ti chiede quale sessione vuoi avviare e lì puoi scegliere tra KDE, KDE4 o GNOME, se ce l'hai.

Poi ti chiede se vuoi renderla predefinita o solo per questa sessione, lì scegli tu
