[Grub] devo forse reinstallarlo??

salve ragazzi vi pongo il mio problema. ho installato winxp su una piccola partizione del mio HD primario dove c'è anche ubuntu, alchè come tutti sappiamo bisogna lanciare una live per ripristinare il grub. l'ho fatto modificando il menu.lst di grub e aggiungendo il kernel winzozz!! ma ora ho un piccolo problemino che mi è apparso dopo aver fatto questa procedura....in fase di avvio, al posto della solita barra di caricamento con il logo di ubuntu mi esce una lista infinita di caricamento di moduli e driver...qualcuno sa come posso ovviare a questo inconveniente??devo forse reinstallare grub???.. accetto suggerimenti! >:(

Ma Ubuntu funziona ugualmente ? se si posta le istruzioni di caricamento prese dal menu.lst

si ubuntu funziona bene!!! è solo che mi da veramente fastidio vedere tutte quelle scritte e poi ci impiega piu tempo per caricare il s.o. . ti posto il menu.lst

Non vedo niente di strano a parte Hiddenmenu senza il # davanti, non ti compare il menù di scelta ?
puoi provare ad invertire l'ordine tra quiet e splash.

hidden menu l'ho modificato io e anche nella 8.04 ce l'avevo e nn mi dava assolutamente problemi. no ma quell'ordine c'era anche prima e nn mi dava neanche lui problemi. non c'è un metodo per reinstallarlo??

Non credo che dipenda dal grub, anche a me compaiono le scritte, ma me le tengo.

ma da un momento all'altro sono uscite...e nn ho fatto ancora nessun aggiornamento!!uff
