Problema dopo inst. NVIDIA GeForce 9600 Gt

Salva a tutti,
sono un nuovo utente di Ubuntu da circa un mese.

Ho installato un driver per la mia scheda grafica NVIDIA GeForcw 9600 Gt
seguendo la seguente procedura:

Per prima cosa scaricare il driver NVIDIA

ubu@ubu-desktop:~$ sudo apt-get install build-essential linux -headers-$(username -r) xserver-xorg-dev
Adesso premere Ctrl+Alt+F1 vedrete uno schermo nero, muovetevi con "cd" nella directory dove avete messo il file.run
date il comando:

ubu@ubu-desktop:~$ sudo /etc/init.d/gdm stop
ubu@ubu-desktop:~$ sudo sh NVIDIA-Linux-x86-177.80-pkg1.run

seguite le istruzioni sullo schermo e poi date il comando

ubu@ubu-desktop:~$ sudo /etc/init.d/gdm start

Ora date il comando

ubu@ubu-desktop:~$ sudo gedit /etc/dafault/linux-restricted-modules-common

nel campo DISABLE_MODULES="" mettere "nv" cioè:
DISABLE_MODULES="nv"

Ha funzionato tutto alla perfezione, la scheda grafica (NVIDIA GeForcw 9600 Gt) è ottima.

I Problemi sono iniziati a seguito di un o più, aggiornamenti che ho scaricato tramite "Gestione Aggiornamenti". Il sistema mi ha detto che era necessario riavviare il PC, cosa che ho fatto, ma quando si è riavviato ecco le sorprese:

UBUNTU E' IN ESECUZIONE IN MODALITA' GRAFICA MINIMA:
Non è stato possibile rilevare correntemente lo schermo e la scheda grafica. Per utilizzare risoluzioni più alte, effetti visivi o schermi addizionali è necessario procedere con una configurazione manuale.

Non è stato trovato alcun elemento e/o device per regolare il volume. Ciò significa o che non si è installato il corretto plugin di GStreamer, o che la scheda audio in uso non è configurata.

Allora o provato:
ubu@ubu-desktop:~$ sudo sh NVIDIA-Linux-x86-177.80-pkg1.run

Non riesco più nemmeno a collegarmi a internet; ma questo è un'altro problema.

Credo che il problema sia dato salla versione del kernel che prima era 2.6.24.19-generic.

Che io sappia i driver video che vengono installati manualmente vanno reinstallati ogni volta che si aggiorna il kernel. Quindi disinstalla tutto, segui i punti 7, 8 e 9 di questa guida http://forum.ubuntu-it.org/viewtopic.php?t=20441 e poi rifai la stessa procedura di installazione che hai già fatto.
