  Ciao
        Ho kubuntu installato ed recentemente ho installato anche ubuntu .
        Dopo l'istallazione di ubuntu ho perso il grub (non si avviava niente). Sono riuscito a ripristinare grub, ma ora ho solo kubuntu nella lista di boot.
        Come faccio ad avviare entrambi?

Posta l'uscita del comando sudo fdisk -l e vai nella partizione di Ubuntu e posta il contenuto della cartella  /boot/grub/menu.lst

  Il primo ad essere installato è stato kubuntu ed ho usato il cd live di kubuntu per fare il ripristino del grub.
  ubuntu non si è mai avviato.

a me serve il menu.lst di Ubuntu, cercalo con konqueror nella partizione sda4

quale errore ti da esattamente, non hai detto quali file sono presenti nella /boot di ubuntu.
