Dapper con root su ITE8212

Ho scaricato la DapperAMD64 Live, funziona tutto, installo su hde2, riconosciuto senza problemi, al riavvio non trova root, presumo perche nell' initrd non c'e' il supporto per il controller ITE.
Scarico il pacchetto initrd-tools di debian con la live, lo installo e cerco di rifare un initrd con il modulo ITE e di scriverlo al posto di quello installato sul disco. Ottengo il sequente messaggio :

Qualcuno sa dirmi come andare avanti ? C'e' modo di caricare un modulo da grub anche se non e' nel initrd ???
