[Grub] Uscendo da Windows Xp il PC non si spegne

Ho modificato /boot/grub/menu.lst per far sì che nel boot loader l' opzione di default sia Windows XP.
Tutto funziona, salvo che quando chiudo XP con l' opzione SPEGNI SISTEMA, il PC non si spegne e riparte il Grub.
Qualcuno mi può aiutare a risolvere il problema?

default 0
in
default 4.

Da 20 anni opero su DOS/Windows, mi sono appassionato a Ubuntu solo ora, mi piace moltissimo

Mi sembra regolare, anche se, sinceramente, non non conosco gli effetti della modifica che hai fatto,
quindi non sò dirti nemmeno se l'hai fatta bene.

Io quando voglio cambiare l'OS di default, metto il kernel desiderato tra:

e

anche se si tratta di Windows.
E mi ha sempre funzionato a dovere.
