[kubuntu-dapper] la tastiera usb non dà segni di vita.. T_T

Ho un portatile toshiba m30x, in cui uso una comunissima tastiera usb: con breezy la tastiera funzionava correttamente, mentre ora che ho messo dapper (formattando e installando da zero) non dà più segni di vita!
All'avvio fino a grub funziona, poi appena carico kubuntu non funziona più da nessuna parte, neanche in console senza usare X :-\
Su winzozz e nel bios funziona normalmente come ha sempre fatto, inoltre per prova avevo rimesso temporaneamente breezy, e anche lì andava bene, proprio non capisco

, come potrei risolvere il problema?

Ah, dimenticavo: per prova ho collegato la tastiera ad un altro portatile (asus) con dapper, e anche lì la tastiera dava lo stesso identico problema... :-\

Tutto quello che posso suggerirti e di postare l'output di "lsusb" con tastiera collegata e il contenuto di "/etc/X11/xorg.conf"

al momento ho collegati alle usb un mouse microsoft (che immagino sia quello che si vede qui sopra), e la tastiera che non va (una nortek sphera).

EDIT: staccando e riattaccando la tastiera, con lsusb scompare e ricompare la voce che termina con "Creative Labs", quindi la tastiera è quella e viene rilevata

(è una nortek sphera inoltre, non credevo avesse qualcosa a che fare con la creative...)
Però non funziona anche se viene rilevata

PURTROPPO ho risolto:

Normalmente, QUALUNQUE componente hardware (anche i ventilatorini da attaccare all'usb), ha specificato nei requisiti minimi "sitema operativo win98/me/2000/xp ...
Il comune utente linux, quando vede questa scritta sulla scatola DI UNA TASTIERA si fa una risata e la prende lo stesso, sapendo che tanto funzionerà comunque...

QUESTO RAGIONAMENTO NON SI PUO' APPLICARE ALLE TASTIERE NORTEK!

Dopo un bel po' di casini, ho scoperto che la causa per cui la mia splendida nortek sphera non funziona su linux, è proprio la tastitera stessa!!
Infatti ho dovuto rimpiazzarla con una logitech, e ho ho dovuto riporre nella sua scatola la mia bellissima nortek sphera, perchè altrimenti piangevo ogni volta che mi ci cadeva l'occhio T_T (era bellissima e comodissima, con una risposta dei tasti che la migliore delle logitech si sogna, e soprattutto era millemila volte meglio della logitech che ho preso T_T )

ciao ma e' il modello con mouse wireless?
E non ha adattatore usb/ps2?
Come eì possibile che non la riconosca io vorrei prenderla e' veramente bella!
