Poi mi funzionera' ancora il boot, o dobbiamo modificare ancora: /boot/grub/menu.Ist?  Se mi verrebbe l'idea di formattare JJ quindi la partizione /dev/sda3, per istallarci un'altra distro,es: fedora,o arch....   li bisogna modificare /boot/grub/menu.Ist di Hardy??

si chiama menu.lst, non menu.Ist 

Certo, dovrai modificarlo. se cambi distro.
Per JJ solo se cambia il kernel, credo. (il menu.lst punta al kernel)

Allora domani faccio cosi', formatto Jaunty " /dev/sda3, e sulla stassa partizione voglio provare ad istallare Arch linux, anche se mi sembra un po' complicato. Volevo chiederti nel menu.lst di Hardy posso lasciare la dicitura;

  Si hai pienamente ragione,ma il problema è che non riesco a connettermi alla rete,se istallo JJ in VirtualBox. (nono)  PS: toglimi una curiosità,   Come accendo il pc lo schermo mi resta nero, e scorrono delle scritte velocissime che a mio parere sono i nomi dei programmi istallati. Poi esce la lista dei OS, "in questo caso la8.04 & 9.04. Se clicco per far partire "es" la 8.04, ripartono ancora tutte le scritte, poi diventa lo schermo nero per 10sec con questo simbolo che lampeggia"_" poi parte la 8.04. Ora ti chiedo, è possibile eliminare queste scritte che scorrono? (good)

Se sono prima di Grub secondo me sono le indicazioni sul bios.

Sì però tu hai detto che uscivano prima di far partire Hardy, e sul kernel di hardy ci sono già quei parametri quindi non è quello il problema.

Oddio, quello che ti posso dire è che mentre scorrono le scritte,sulla parte DX dello schermo esce Ok Ok Ok.....

dovrebbe essere il tema usplash che non funziona prova a rimettere quello originale con start-up manager :-\
