non si spegne (si è riproposto il problema e non è by nvidia)
ragazzi ho aggiornato a 9.04 e ho un problema da sottolineare all'apparenza quasi idiota (yes)
quando clicco sul nome utente e arresta il pc non si spegne, fa tutta la procedura d'arresto ma rimane a schermo nero. Mi tocca quindi spegnerlo col tasto sul case. Con sudo halt il pc si spegne tranquillamente.
Come posso fixare questo problemino?

controlla nei log se vengoni indicati dei problemi nel terminare dei processi...
Prima di aprire una discussione leggi le Guide, poi vedi se c'è un HowTo nel Wiki e fai una ricerca nel Forum!

ciao,stesso problema anchio,ho provato con aggiungere acpi=force, che sulla 8.10 aveva funzionato, ma niente da fare,pensavo di aver risolto quando gli ho messo acpi=on,ma si è spento solo una volta,dopo a continuato a non spegnersi.

Se può essere di consolazione sono stato sei mesi con il portatile che non si spegneva... nessuna soluzione ha funzionato davvero, solo l'upgrade a Intrepid ha risolto.

Beh, mettere acpi=force, etc così a gratis mi sembra assurdo. Prima togli il quite splash dal kernel caricato.
Poi quando spegni il pc guarda che errore esce.

ho appena appurato che non è ne network manager ne nient'altro legato a firefox come ho prima dedotto.

c'è un modo per leggere tutto il log di spegnimento? quel è il file? nel lettore di log di ubuntu non lo trovo.. (in pratica la foto che v'ho postato vorrei leggere)

buone nuove... ho disabilitato il caricamento del modulo bluetooth ho riavviato e riacceso una decina di volte il pc... sembra andare...

E' un problema dell'ultimo driver rilasciato dalla nVidia...questi hanno confermato il problema ed hanno detto che il prossimo rilascio di driver risolverà il problema.
Si è quindi in attesa...altrimenti è plausibile un ritorno al driver precedente...180.29 mi pare ma potrei dire una fesseria.
