Problemi riscontrati in Ubuntu 9.04 Jaunty Jackalope in fase di sviluppo.

nel mio PC ho 4 partizioni che ospitano altrettante root di vari ubuntu: Kubuntu 8.4, Ubuntu 8.10, Ubuntu 8.10 con Kubuntu-desktop + Xubuntu-desktop e infine Ubuntu Jaunty che ho installato ad Alpha 3 e sempre aggiornato senza problemi.
una ulteriore partizione ospita la /home comune a tutti.
dopo gli ultimi aggiornamenti quando da Jaunty provo ad accedere la mia /home comune il browser si blocca (diventa grigio) e poi appare un messaggio che dice che non riesce ad accedere.
da tutti gli altri ambienti la /home comune viene acceduta correttamente, quindi è 'buona'
potete suggerirmi una soluzione? o qualche tentativo da fare per determinare meglio il problema?
nonostante la struttura disco da smanettone io non sono un esperto, con il terminale me la cavo appena.

questo è /etc/fstab di jaunty su sda5, con home su sdb5, che non va
sotto quello di intrepid su sda9, sempre con home su sdb5, che accede ok a /home ...
su sda8 c'è swap
su sda7 ubuntu 8.10 + kubuntu + xubuntu ... che accede ok a /home ...
su sda6 kubuntu 8.4.1 ... che accede ok a /home ...
su sda1 ntfs windows xp (vergogna)
su sdb1 windows dati vfat

per prova sono partito con il vecchio kernel 2.6.28.6 che però è partito in low graphic mode ... home funziona ... tornando al nuovo 2.6.28.8 il problema ritorna. ci può aiutare?

da terminal ho fatto 'select all' ... ha ritagliato solo i dati dalla finestra corrente ... è normale?
comunque ho ri-selezionato tutto ... copiato qui sotto.
in ogni caso, a questo punto non mi preoccupo più troppo, visto che /home è buona, si tratta solo di un problema con il nuovo kernel che spero verrà risolto con i nuovi aggiornamenti.
