Niente,tutto come prima,ho disinstallato/reinstallato "linux-image 2.6.27-11-31 ma non vedo la distribuzione/kernel aggiornati

ma dovrebbe uscire una dialog che ti chiede se vuoi mantenere il tuo menu.lst o aggiornarlo.

molto strano..ho provato ad installare un kernel a caso e compare la dialog.
Magari prova con apt-get anziche' usare synaptic.

ok(quasi) finestra dialog apparsa aggiornato il menu però vedo solo ubuntu 8.10 ma il kernel è quello vecchio 2.6.24...

anche con synaptic si vede, forse l'aver editato a mano ha compromesso qualcosa, non vorrei che mancasse un pezzo al menu.lst, se riesci postalo intero

va be a sto punto fai a mano e buonanotte. Basta copia/incollare qualsiasi immagine del kernel e cambiare la versione. Il resto rimane invariato
