[Risolto] [Boot] Installato XP in una partizione, ripristinato il grub, non riesco a passare a XP

Dopo aver creato una partizione di 30 GB per XP, l'ho installato con successo e poi ho ripristinato il GRUB.
Avvio il pc e ubuntu parte in automatico senza che io possa scegliere.

PS: in System è apparso tale "31,5 GB Media" che se gli clicco sopra un messaggio mi dice "Impossibile mountare il volume"

vai in /boot/grub/menu.lst e metti il cancelletto davanti ad  hiddenmenu

scusa mi sono menato via al primo errore.
sempre da terminale
sudo gedit
e vai sempre in /boot/grub/menu.lst

ed aggiungi alla fine queste righe

title Windows XP
root (hd0,1)
savedefault
makeactive
chainloader +1

Sì, perché infatti XP non figurava nella lista dalla quale Grub mi invita a scegliere.
Credo che così il problema sarà risolto definitivamente.

Non hai ancora scritto menu.lst sul mbr
Guarda qui per il ripristino.

hiddenmenu nasconde il menu all'avvio
se lo commenti con #, rende inattivo il comando, quindi non lo nasconde

il resto l'avrai capito
