[Risolto] Kernel Jaunty Installato ma inesistente sul Grub!!!!

Ciao a tutti, ho letto i vari post sull'argomento ma nn sono riuscito a risolvere il problema.

Graficamente il sistema è aggionrato e anche i programmi sembrano nuovi (amarok ad esempio), ma nel grub ho ancora 8.10 e kernel 2.6.27-11

Ho provato a fare sudo upgrade-grub ma non cambia nulla.

Questo il mio menu.lst

Ho provato anche a rimettere manualmente nel menu list il kernel nuovo ma al riavvio se lo seleziono mi dice file not found.
Cmq il kernel è installato.

C'è qualcuno che ha qualche ulteriore idea di cosa può essere prima che procedi a formattare tutto e reinstallare da zero??

ok mi sono convinto che l'aggiornamento non funzioni col grub
sei la quinta o sesta persona oggi con problemi a grub dopo aggiornamento

dentro /boot hai entrambi i files initrd-versione e vmlinuz-versione?
se si esegui semplicemente un update-grub

L'update grub l'avevo già provato ma non cambia nulla... ho provato anche a reinstallarlo da synaptic ... nn c'è scampo  >:(

secondo me hanno combinato qualche bel casino con questi grub
un'altra ragione per cui non si deve aggiornare ma installare da capo

Cmq per completezza di informazioni riporto anche il risultato del comando "sudo update-grub"

Come potete vedere lui trova il nuovo kernel e sembra che tutto sia andato a buon fine ma in realtà nn viene aggiornato affatto il grub  :-\

ma il nuovo kernel è il 2.6.27-11-generic?
e non parte?

No il nuovo kernel è il 2.6.28-11-generic.

Non viene inserito nel menu.lst ... secondo me è un bug, non viene aggiornato il grub.

Ora sono riuscito a risolvere compilando a mano il file menu.lst. Ho seguito questo post: http://forum.ubuntu-it.org/viewtopic.php?t=281777

Ricordo a chi avesse il mio stesso problema che non va modificato il root e l'uuid (cioè va copiato pari pari a quello del vecchio kernel) mentre va modificato il kernel mettendo il nuovo.

Sottolineo di non sostituire il vecchio ma di aggiungerne uno nuovo facendo copia e incolla e modificando le parti da modificare!!! Così in caso di problemi si può tornare sempre al vecchio kernel
