Scanner HP non va

Salve a tutti possiedo un'hp HP Color LaserJet cm1312nfi e secondo l'hp lo scanning dovrebbe funzionare bene su linux:

Tuttavia sia con gnomescan, sia con xsane ottengo lo stesso errore.

inizia ad avviare il programma con sudo/gksudo
se funziona e` solo un problema di permessi

Che driver stai usando? quello Open di ubuntu o quello del sito hp che hai linkato?
io ho una HP PSC 1510 multifunzione e non ho mai avuto problemi con i driver di ubuntu...
hai provato a disabilitare cups (server di stampa) e nel mentre provato ad eseguire xsane o gnomescan?
a me con ubuntu 7.10 e precedenti lo scanner della multifunzione HP PSC 1510 funzionava solo se stoppava cups sudo /etc/init.d/cups stop
mentre adesso dalla 8.04 fa tutto in automatico  ;D

Quando sono andato a configurare le stampanti e ho fatto Nuovo ->stampante ecc mi è comparsa una finestra che mi ha detto che c'erano dei driver proprietari da scaricare, dopodichè si è aperto un terminale che ha scaricato dal sito dell'hp i driver e la stampante da lì ha funzionato tranquillamente, lo scanner no. :(

Ho installato gli ultim idue pacchetti che non li avevo, ma adesso anzichè darmi quell'errore non mi trova nessuna periferica.

e ti dice di fare il download
lo fai sulla scrivania
poi devi andare in Synaptic e disinstallare
tutto di hplip compreso la GUI con lo stemma HP

poi, sempre da Synaptic reinstalli solo:
  py-qt4
python-qt4-dbus
python-reportlab
dbus-x11  (dovrebbe già essere installato)
xsane        (dovrebbe già essere installato)

Queste cose ti servono quando farai hp-setup, per reinstallare la GUI con il logo HP (praticamente il centro controllo HP)
quando hai fatto questo installi, spostandoti sulla scrivania,

installarlo con per esempio (sh hplip-3.9.4b.run) in relatà il nome esatto dipende dalla tua stampante)

guarda che c'è una spiegazione passo  per passo di quello che devi fare da terminale, non puoi sbagliare (ci sono anche le schermate del terminale

ho fatto come hai detto; ho levato hplip e poi sono andato in cerca della mia stampante; ho scaricato il file .run e l ho eseguito nel terminale ; ho iniziato la configurazione e sembra andare tutto bene ma dopo un po il terminale crasha e si spegne... lo scanner ovviamente non funziona ancora; che ho fatto di sbagliato?

ho fatto un casino... non so perchè ma non riesco ad installare hplip, il terminale continua a crashare... ma perchè? ho tutte le dipendenze soddisfatte... quando va su "build and install" il terminale crasha...

però dovrebbe darti i messaggi di errore
poi fai sul terminale dmesg, per vedere che cosa vuole.
fai copia ed incolla.

sono a posto; peraltro uso il "promogest" e queste dipendenze le avevo risolte perchè il programma si basa su python; comunque le ho controllate tutte; me ne mancava qualcuna... non sono riuscito a trovare però quete due:

se adesso proprio non va. ho paura per quei due messaggi
ci sono segnalazioni di bug al riguardo

ok i pacchetti ce li ho; ti riferisci ai messaggi relativi al bios? pensi che possa dipendere da quello in qualche modo?
