si può provare comunque a vedere se è colpa dei driver, basta disabilitarli momentaneamente e vedere se ci son problemi

non credo che sia colpa dei driver, perchè se disabilito gli effetti grafici mi fa cmq il difetto.

fai una cosa: avvia il pc, e quando smette di caricare tutto ed inizia a darti questi problemi, premi [Alt]+[Ctrl]+[F1] e vedi se riesci a loggarti in un terminale. Una volta che effettui il login dai
Anche se ritornano errori va bene comunque. A questo punto dai unDovrebbe provare a partire la sessione grafica. Se funziona ti compare una schermata grigia (striscioline bianche e nere) con un puntatore a X, se no ti fa lo stesso giochetto di prima. Qualsiasi cosa succeda ripremi [Alt]+[Ctrl]+[F1] e una volta tornato al terminale dai un paio di [Invio] per riavere il prompt. a questo punto dai un e postaci il file xorg.log che avrai nella home. Comunque dicci se funziona o meno il server grafico

credo sia normale che xorg sia faccia gestire l'input da hal (+ evdev). è così da ubuntu 8.10

Mi preoccupa di più che rilevi come tastiera un qualcosa chiamato "Video Bus"... Però i misteri di hal sono infiniti...
