Portatile con video i810: come si imposta il monitor esterno?

Come detto io ho risolto e per rendere più visibile la cosa (da sperimentare) ho creato un nuovo topic  qui.
Non me ne volgiano i mod, capisco che si poteva anche continuare qui, ma a me piacciono le discussioni "pulite" Se volete unirle fate pure.

ho un portatile hp compaq nx6110 con scheda intel 915GM e vorrei abilitare l'uscita per vedere il desktop su un televisore. è fattibile la cosa? le procedure sono le stesse o cambia qualcosa?tra l'altro non saprei come pescare i dati del tv come frequenze d'aggiornamento o risoluzione massima

Credo che per mandare il segnale su una tv, tu debba usare l''uscita TV-OUT (quella rotonda), mentre qua si parla di uscita VGA (quella trapezoidale). Per la TV devi far uscire un segnale interpolato (mezza immagine alla volta, divisa in righe orizzontali: prima le pari e poi le dispari), mentre sul monitor da pc no...

Fattibile credo sia fattibile, ma non ci ho mai provato. Sorry...

Dimenticavo: se non sbaglio tutte le tv sono 640x480 e a refresh fisso... ma ripeto: il problema è che sulle TV il segnale è interpolato...

Io ho risolto senza tanti artifici, sto facendo una guida adesso per chi come me vuole clonare su un monitor esterno ma a risoluzione maggiore. Entro il fine settimana vi farò sapere.

Allora dopo 12 ore di B......E sono riuscito nel mio intento e qui vi posto un pò di xorg:

1) per clonare il desktop con beryl funzionante su entrambe i monitor funzionanti alla stessa risoluzione

Tali xorg sono stati provati e testati su di una intel 945gm 128 mb condivise con driver i810 e i915 resolution, come monitor esterni sono stati utilizzati rispettivamente un proiettore epson ed un crt nec con ottimi risultati.
