ecco....ho provato a reinstallare grub 2, e adesso grub mi vede i nuovi kernel, peccato che non parte nulla, ogni cosa che seleziono mi da:

error: unknown command 'intrid'

e poi mi torna a grub...anche selezionando vista non parte...ora ho un computer inutlizzabile hehe...bene!!

dovrei esserci..solo che nei miei smanettamenti per il kernel ho installato la versione 2.6.31-020631rc8 che non mi funziona, e grub mi mostra solo questa...come faccio a ripristinare la possibilità di vedere i vecchi kernel installati direttamente da grub?

No ha semplicemente installato un kernel esterno ai repo... È normale...

sto provando a modificare menu.lst da recovery, ma non mi fa salvare le modifiche! pensavo che fosse l'unico modo per far partire un'altro kernel! ma non mi fa salvare, uso "sudo nano" ma nulla...

ok sono riuscito a modificare il file menu.lst, e ho messo sulla riga dei kernel da visualizzare il valor "all", ma continua ad apparirmi solo questo dannato kernel non funzionante...come faccio a disinstallarlo da recovery? voglio dire, ho dato il comando "sudo apt-get remove linux-image....." ma mi dice:

ok...sono riuscito a ripristinare il menu completo, ma siccome la sfiga non è mai abbastanza, beh...qualunque kernel seleziono, lo schermo rimane nero e non parte ubuntu...penso di essere nella cacca piu totale...

Io ho instalato grub2 da synaptic che ti disinstalla quello vecchio.
