Ci abbiamo già guardato ricordi? L'elenco dei pc per cui era stata ricompilata la DSDT....miticogigi ha scritto: e qualcosa già precompilato non si trova che possa andar bene anche per il mio notebook?
L'ACPI è una cosa importante.... riguarda la gestione dell'energia e se dal BIOS arrivano direttive false o incomplete, non c'è compilazione che regge...

in conclusione sono costretto ogni volta che avvio ubuntu a staccare le periferiche collegate alle usb :'(

Aggiornare il BIOS è una faccenda che se non va a buon fine il pc è da buttare, visto quanto ci vuole a ripararlo.
Bisogna estrarre il chip che contiene il BIOS e mandarlo da certi personaggi che lo riflashano.
Segui attentamente le instruzioni!!!!

sto seguendo queste istruzioni solo che al posto del floppy avevo in mente di usare un cd
le ho trovate sul sito dell'asus...che dici?Scaricare il file BIOS corretto dalla pagina apposita (http://www.asus.it/support/download/download.aspx). Per riconoscere il modello controllare sull’etichetta del serial number (codice a barre sul retro della macchina) l’ultima lettera stampata indica il modello!
Scaricare l'utility phlash.zip. Decomprimere i due file (bios e phlash.zip) su un dischetto d'avvio (formattato con l’opzione 'trasferire i file di sistema' selezionata). Spegnere il pc e farlo ripartire dall’unita’ floppy con il dischetto inserito nel lettore.
Al comando a: (prompt di dos) digitare phlash/mode=3 nomefilebios.rom dove nomefilebios corrisponde al nome del file del bios decompresso.

il modello è giusto...solo che quando lo scarico mi chiede il sistema operativo e di ubuntu non ne parla e quindi ora devo riavviare con xp

Ciao a tutti, sono nuovo del forum.
Scusate se mi intrometto ma ho avuto lo stesso problema (ovvero quello relativo alle porte usb in avvio) quando ho fatto l'avanzamento di versione ma con la piccola differenza che quando digito da terminale "dmesg" non mi compare quella scritta ripetuta infinite volte ma:

ho appena fatto l'aggiornamento di versione dalla 9.04 alla 9.10 con la speranza che il mio problema si risolvesse...ma nulla, si blocca sempre a questa schermata...
