quando ero nella sessione di lavoro (in piena funzionalità) avevo installato envyNG e i driver ATI

ho riavviato...e invece di ritrovarmi nella splash screen la schermata marrone che ti chiede id e password....mi esce un terminale che mi chiedeva l'username e la password con uno sfarfallio allucinante che impediva la piena funzionalità della tastiera

sicuramente era un problema input video..perchè vedevo che la lucetta del bloc num andava ad intermittenza..in sincronia con lo sfarfallio





..e tutto questo dopo aver installato envy e i driver ATI (ho un ATI Radeon X1650 Series).









spero ci sia soluzione e che non sia la scheda video troppo arretrata.

all'avvio vai in modalità recovery e dopo il login dai questo comando

sudo dpkg-reconfigure -phigh xserver-xorg

poi riavvia

prova anche con i driver open da sistema-driver hardware, al limite usi lo stesso comando per ripristinare

sudo dpkg-reconfigure -phigh xserver-xorg

poi riavvia

aspetta che controllo che ho scritto bene

MACCHE' RISOLTO!!! mi dice [glow=red,2,300]pacchetto dpkg -e (--configura) e -r (rimuovi) in conlitto[/glow]

sudo dpkg-reconfigure xserver-xorg

poi segui le opzioni a video

Oggi anche io ho avuto questo problema, con i driver NVIDIA però.

Ho risolto leggendo qui:

e in particolare facendo così, ricordandosi di usare le lettere maiuscole dove riportato:

1. Hit ESC after the BIOS loads (at the grub screen).

2. Select the "recovery mode" with the later kernel: 2.6.31-14. (The other choice I had was 2.6.28-16.)

3. Login

4. Pray that ftp will work and you can download from nVidia's site--necessary step! don't skip!

5. ftp

    6. open download.nvidia.com

    7. for username, use: guest

    8. for password, just press

    9. cd XFree86
    10. cd Linux-x86
    11. cd 190.42

    12. binary

    13. get NVIDIA-Linux-x86-190.42-pkg1.run
    and wait for it to download; took about a minute for me

    14. bye

15. chmod 777 NVIDIA*

16. sudo ./NVIDIA*.run

17. Follow instructions in nVidia installation. Remember to choose Yes when it asks if you want to replace current X config options.

18. reboot

19. Praise God with a prayer of thanksgiving when it works, and add a prayer of thanks for the Ubuntu community.
