nel mio pc ho una ati radeon 9600 di circa 4 anni fa.
il sistema operativo è ubuntu linux 9.10.
quando chiedo di attivare gli effetti desktop cerca i driver e poi mi dice "impossibile abilitare effetti 3d".....
perchè????   >:( >:( >:(

il bello è che fino a qualche giorno fa funzionava perfettamente tuto.... anche il desktop cubico...
aiutatemi :'(

Dovrebbe essere perchè prima devi andare su Sistema/Amministrazione/Driver hardware e attivare i driver proprietari della scheda video!!

se vado su driver hardwere, mi cerca degli hardwere  ma dice che non è in uso nessun driver proprietario.....
non me ne consiglia neanche uno non proprietario....
non so cosa fare..... :'(

Da terminale dai  sudo apt-get install Xgl  puoi fare il copia e incolli sul terminale, poi invio.

lascia perder xgl,il problema penso sia qui:
