[Usb] Problema con il mouse

Buona sera a tutti,di punto in bianco il mio mouse ha smesso di funzionare :o in pratica ubuntu non mi rileva il mouse connesso tramite usb.Sul portatile ho 3 porte usb e in tutte quando lo collego mi si accende il led sotto ma dopo pochi secondi si rispegne e il mouse non parte nemmen. Delle volte dopo un po' che smanetto con le porte mi riesce di farlo partire,ma solo su una delle porte;seprovo a collegarlo ad un'altra non va.Non so da cosa derivi il problema ma le altre periferiche usb mi funzionano e me le legge:hard disk da 20gb,iPod,chiavette varie...bò!?Ho persino provato a mandare la Live di ubuntu e lì il mouse mi andava su 1 porta ???

Inserisci il mouse e poi da terminale:

sudo /etc/init.d/udev restart
e vedi se te lo riconosce

prima di diventare matto proverei con un altro mouse e proverei quel mouse su un altro pc.

Non lo so non ho provato...ho una macchina virtuale con windows:le periferiche me le legge tutte ma non il mouse,come su ubuntu. >:(

come controprova puoi testare il mouse su una macchina con windows reale (non VM)  ;)

Ragazzi,ho capito il problema(ah cmq il mouse mi era definitivamente morto subito dopo aver scritto "adesso mi va" :-X ).Oggi collegandolo ad un computer winzoz,mi ha detto immediatamente che non riusciva a riconoscere la periferica(che ricordo essere un mouse con filo).Problema:non c'è nessun driver interno  :o non s'ho come io sia riuscito a "formattare" il mouse,fatto sta che adesso non c'è un driver dentro e non viene riconosciuto per ciò che è,un mouse.Ho provato a smanettarci un poì ma senza alcun risultato;eccol la mia domanda:come caspita faccio a reinstallarci il driver di mouse?

Grazie per il suggerimento ma non riesco a trovare nessuno die file che menziona,forse perchè lavora su una 8.00 e sull'ultima distro non sono capace di ritrovare tutti i file(non so nemmeno se ci siano).

Purtroppo no,sennò non ero qui a perder tempo contro uno schifosissimo mouse:mi scoccia spendere 20 euro per ricomprarlo,visto anche che questa cosa proprio non riesco a spiegarmela e sono sicuro di non aver fatto nulla!

In effetti il link riguardava una versione diversa da ubuntu e comunque un vecchio kernel.

Per essere riconosciuto il mouse deve essere collegato prima di avviare il sistema  (yes)
in ogni caso da terminale dai:
