[Desktop] Xubuntu - autologout

Buongiorno a tutti, premetto che sono nuovo nel forum e nuovo anche nell'ambiente linux.
Dopo varie ricerce ho installato su un vecchio sony vaio xubuntu e sono rimasto molto contento perche gira molto bene, anzi direi che e' rinato ;D  . Ma sono vittima per la terza volta di uno strano problema , da un certo momento in poi non riesco piu ad entrare negli account che ho creato.Mi spiego meglio avvio xubuntu arrivo alla maschera di login seleziono il mio utente, metto la password , a quel punto accetta la password solo che poi invece di comparire il desktop esce e torna alla maschera di login !!! Come se qualche processo "killasse"  l'interfaccia grafica...
Aiuto per favoreee !

Puoi intanto provare di creare una altro utente per vedere se dipende da qualche impostazione nella home che è probabile.

Loggati con ctrl+alt+f2 (nome, enter, passw che non vedi ma viene scritto), poi

sudo adduser NOME
 sudo adduser NOME admin
ctrl+alt+f7 per il login grafico e prova l'utente nuovo.
Hai fatto un backup oggi? Ieri?? Quando???

Sono d'accordo con te che che sara qualche impostazione della home...ma non riesco a capire quale.
Avevo gia fatto 3 volte la prova di ricreare l'utente (da root e sempre utenti diversi) e dopo qualche giorno ha rifatto lo stesso scherzo , cioè fa il login e poi mi butta fuori.L'unica differenza e' che non l'ho fatto da terminale  ma dall'utente root abilitando il desktop di tale utente. Ovviamente piu tardi faro anche questa prova da te suggeritami...ma intanto non so se si puo pensare a qualche altra soluzione perche temo che il risultato sia lo stesso...!

loggati in tty1, cambia con ctrl+alt+f7, fai il login che fallisce e torni in tty1:

e posta errori.txt qui poi, con un altro utente.

ciao a tutti
ho riscontrato lo stesso problema anch'io, ho aperto anche un'altra discussione per errore, non avevo letto bene prima questa, scusate.

sono un utente debian, col nuovo pc ho deciso di provare xubuntu 9.10
tutto bene per un paio di giorni, poi all'improvviso mi chiede la password per avviare il DE
la password avevo impostato che fosse inserita in automatico, e fino a ieri non me l'aveva mai chiesta
vabbè, provo a inserirla, sembra che parta tutto invece torna alla schermata di login e mi richiede di nuovo la password!

se faccio un ctrl+alt+1 e provo ad entrare da riga di comando nessun problema
se faccio

mi parte correttamente ma non carica il pannello, se faccio:

e stavolta il login automatico ho funzionato, ma mancava ancora il pannello
caricandolo con nohup mi è apparso il mio, quello personale

spento tutto e riavviato, stesso errore di partenza: mi chiede la password e non accedo.

credo di aver risolto
cerco di ricostruire cosa ho fatto (non ne sono sicurissimo)

sono andato Sistema > Driver hardware e ho disattivato i driver nvidia 185
poi ho scaricato dal sito il .run per la versione 190.53, riavviato e il problema era rimasto
sono tornato in Sistema > Driver hardware e c'erano ancora i driver proprietari nvidia nella versione 18 (anche se disattivati)
quindi ho fatto apt-get autoremove e riavviato, funziona! ma adesso in Sistema > Driver hardware non c'è nulla, precisamente dice che non ci sono driver proprietari
se vado in Impostazioni > Nvidia X Server Settings mi dice che ci sono i driver nvidia 190.53

bho? non ho capito benissimo
adesso provo a spegnere / riavviare un po' di volte e poi comunque vediamo che succede nei prossimi giorni

ho resintallato gdm e ubuntu-desktop, è andata per 2 riavvi e stamattina sono al punto di partenza

che sembra non dare il problema e a voi ?
Anche root non funziona ?

l'utente Root mi funziona ,andando in modalità ricovery aprendo una shell e digitando startx,però non riesco ad andare su internet così.
Di conseguenza accedo normalmente e al login metto "Modalità Sessione Xterm",così facendo dal terminale faccio partire xfwm4 per le finestre in modo da gestire un pò meglio la cosa,
nohup xfce4-panel per un pannello standard , e poco di più, con il comando "Opcode&" con Opcode comando qualsiasi ,libero anche il terminale appena lanciato il comando .
A questo punto userei la cosa per imparare un pò di bash..  :P :P ::) ::)
