Si è verificato un problema irrisolvibile durante l'inizializzazione delle informazioni del pacchetto.

Segnalare questo bug per il pacchetto «update-manager» e includere il seguente messaggio d'errore:

'E:Tipo "wget" non riconosciuto alla riga 55 nel file /etc/apt/sources.list, E:Impossibile leggere l'elenco dei sorgenti.'

Hai aggiornato avanzando di versione da Jaunty a Karmic?

Devi sapere che è sconsigliato fare avanzamenti di versione... molto spesso, si possono verificare problemi... come nel tuo caso, che, comporta un passaggio a software più avanzati tra una versione e l'altra, e che possono generare conflitti e/o problemi come questo... fossi in te, se proprio vuoi passare a Karmic, la installerei direttamente, così sparirebbero i tuoi problemi...

grazie sicuramente faro' cosi cmqil casino di stasera l'avevo fatto io installando male mediubuntu, nel togliere i repo ho tolto uno che non c'entrava niente, poi ho reinstallato tutto e ora funziona ciao maurizio
