condividere file tramite server ftp

per il secondo comando ho sbagliato a digitare io  :-[

apt-cache policy smbfs

se non li usi disinstallali tutti e due, poi installa firestarter e un interfaccia grafica per il firewall di ubuntu e di default ti blocca tutto in entrata

firestarter e' gia installato nella distribuzione ubuntu plus (quella dell'istituto majorana) ma non credo sia attivo in quanto aprendolo per la prima volta mi parte la configurazione guidata "benvenuti in firestarter"

dopo la configurazione è sempre attivo

scusa ma non si puo impostare in vsfpd.conf di accettare connessioni solo da localhost?

Sì certamente che si può. Si deve in questo caso valutare l'uso dell'opzione local_enable (per usare gli utenti della macchina) e poi configurare il listen_address con 127.0.0.1

C'è da dire, opinione puramente e totalmente personale, che io vsfpd non lo uso, mi ci son sempre trovato malissimo.
Preferisco di gran lunga ProFTPD

ok ora reinstallando il server e' riconmarso il file vsftpd.conf ed in piu' restartando il server non mi da piu' l'errore di prima...guardate
