[Boot] Boot Lento su Dell Latitude 13
Ciao a tutti,
ho acquistato da poco un Dell Latitude 13. Il PC è dotato in origine di windows 7. Ho fatto un po' di spazio e ci ho istallato anche l'ultimo nato 10.04.
Premetto che da anni uso Ubuntu di cui sono molto contento. Tuttavia sono un po' deluso dalla velocità del boot.
Windows 7 impiega circa 20 secondi mentre Ubuntu passa il minuto per arrivare alla schermata di login. Dopo il login tutto funziona alla perfezione.
Tuttavia devo ammettere che quando ho fretta (es devo controllare un PDF su una pennetta USB) faccio prima ad avviare il PC con Windows.
E' un problema noto oppure c'è qualcosa che non va?

Eh no, un minuto non va proprio bene (bad)
Ci saranno sicuramente uno o più processi che rallentano il tutto.
Fai il boot su linux, girati i pollici per un minuto e guardati l'output di:
Riporta gli intervalli tra una operazione e l'altra nell'inizializzazione del sistema. Se vedi interruzioni sospette, postale qui che vediamo di venire a capo della faccenda.
Comunque, se non sei molto interessato allo splash iniziale, puoi alleggerire il boot così.
Ci saranno sicuramente uno o più processi che rallentano il tutto.
