[Risolto] RAM non caricata.
Ciao a tutti, possiedo un notebook Toshiba Satellite A100-218 a cui ho aggiunto un banco di RAM SODIMM DDR2 533 della Kingston da 1Gb. Prima di aggiungere questo banco da 1gb, ne avevo uno da 512 Mb. Andando a sbirciare il monitor di sistema per vedere il funzionamento ho scoperto che anzichè segnarmi 1,5 Gb di RAM mi da solo 937 Mb e rotti.
All'avvio c'è una splash screen della Toshiba, quindi non riesco a vedere quanta RAM il bios mi carica. Ho un bios Phoenix alla versione 2.30 (sul sito Toshiba me la da come la più aggiornata).
Spero che con questi dettagli possiate aiutarmi!!Grazie a tutti!!

Probabilmente vede solo il banco nuovo, se non sono identici come frequenza (e a volte nemmeno basta) succede, controlla che modello esattamente è quello di origine.

La frequenza è identica, 533Mhz. Chiedendo a mia sorella che aveva il notebook già da prima, anche del modulo da 512 MB ne caricava solo 400 e rotti.

Che ne veda un pò meno è dovuto alla memoria video, deve recuperarne da quella di sistema, non è raro, anzi.
Li il problema è che non vede più quella da 512, se entri nel bios comunque hai più informazioni certe.

Ho provato a vedere ma riguardo alla memoria ci sono poche voci. Che cosa dovrei vedere nel bios?

prova a mettere il banco nel suo e verifica se il suo OS lo rileva.
alla situazione attuale c'è poco da fare, puoi verificare se il bios la rileva interamente, generalmente c'è una voce con le informazioni sul sistema.
se non la vede il bios non sono proprio compatibili le memorie.
