imposta tutto correttamente e poi
se tutto è a posto premi:

save X to configuration file

togli la spunta Merge with existing file
e salva

Ho fatto come suggerisce Telperion (gran nick tra l'altro, complimenti! 8)), ma l'avevo già fatto parecchie volte, e infatti non cambia nulla.

Si, non me ne intendo ma se con "cavo VGA" intendi quello classico per monitor, allora sì, è sempre quello, non l'ho cambiato.

Tra l'altro, è normale che sia CRT, quando uso una TV samsung LCD???
Forse il problema sta qui...

Si, CRT significa cavo VGA analogico, non centra nulla col tipo di schermo.

Ho appena rimosso i driver Nouveau, sperando fossero quelli il problema, ma non ho risolto nulla

io conosco un modo ma xrandr non ti vede il monitor ne come vga0 ve come vga1 e non so che parametri utilizzare

ho lo stesso problema di gazprom. Avevo già provato le soluzioni elencate nei post...e cerco nei forum una soluzione mesi
Nada...
Ero venuto qua per porre il quesito ma ho trovato questo post ed anche qua nessuna soluzione.

ci ho perso le speranze, ormai ad ogni avvio cambio risoluzione manualmente.
