Ho fatto come suggerisce Telperion (gran nick tra l'altro, complimenti! ), ma l'avevo già fatto parecchie volte, e infatti non cambia nulla.

io conosco un modo ma xrandr non ti vede il monitor ne come vga0 ve come vga1 e non so che parametri utilizzare
