[Server] Mysql non parte dopo l'upgrade alla 10.10

Dopo aver effettuato l'upgrade a ubuntu desktop 10.10 il server mysql ha smesso di avviarsi nel file di log syslog viene ripetuta all'infinito:

Mar 28 19:41:33 Box init: mysql main process ended, respawning
Mar 28 19:41:58 Box init: mysql post-start process (6514) terminated with status 1

Non so più dove sbattere la testa ho cercato in giro ma nulla...
Avevo letto anche di problemi con AppArmor l'ho rimosso ma nulla da fare.

Qualcuno sa come posso risolvere? grazie  :-[

prova con:

sudo dpkg-reconfigure mysql-server-5.x (dove x è la versione teoricamente la 1, quindi mysql-server-5.1)

grazie mille ho dato il comando da te indicato e mi ha tirato fuori un altro errore sul bdb ho provato a commentare la stringa skip-bdb dal my.cnf e ridato dpkg-reconfigure e tutto a funzionato grazie...
