Problema a cambiare lingua su ubuntu 10.10

Sono nuovo in questo forum e nel mondo linux. Quando ho installato ubuntu non ho messo la lingua italiana perchè ero senza connessione a internet, quindi è il inglese e la vorrei cambiare visto che ora ho internet. Quando vado su system/administration/supporto lingue mi esce: ''Il supporto per le lingue non è installato completamente

Alcune traduzioni o gli strumenti linguistici disponibili per la lingua selezionata non sono ancora installati. Installarli ora?'' clicco su installa e mi esce: ''Package dependencies cannot be resolved

Furthermore there could be a conflict between software packages which are not allowed to be installed at the same time.'' e poi vadu su installa/rimuovi lingue metto su italiano faccio applica modifiche e poi mi esce ''Il database software è danneggiato

Impossibile installare o rimuovere programmi. Utilizzare il gestore di pacchetti «Synaptic» o eseguire «sudo apt-get install -f» in un terminale per risolvere il problema.'' mi sapete dire cosa devo fare?? ???

Utilizzare il gestore di pacchetti «Synaptic» o eseguire «sudo apt-get install -f

Vai in Applicazioni Accessori terminale e copia incolla il comando
sudo apt-get install -f
poi ti chiede la password che usi per entrare in ubuntu digitala anche se non compare nulla poi clicca il tasto Invio (Enter)

Poi prova ad andare ancora in supporto lingue e installare italiano
