Installazione pacchetti java sdk

Salve a tutti!

Ho provato ad installare java per lavorare ma visualizzo questo: sudo dpkg -i sun-java5-plugin



dpkg: errore processando sun-java5-plugin (--install):
impossibile accedere all'archivio: Nessun file o directory
Sono occorsi degli errori processando:
sun-java5-plugin




Come posso risolvere grazie anticipatamente

Ti conviene usare direttamente apt-get:

sudo apt-get install sun-java5-jre

Ecco ciò che mi visualizza:

Java è presente nei repository multiverse. Li puoi abilitare inserendo nel file /etc/apt/sources.list le seguenti righe:

Io ho una dapper....ho sostituito ad edgy....dapper ma continua a non trovarlo

Ti sei ricordato di aggiornare la cache con sudo apt-get update?

Installazione avvenuta bene....ma non ci sono i comandi.Tipo lancio javac da terminale non mi da niente.Come devo fare?

Il pacchetto che fa per te è sun-java5-jdk.
