Problema Touch Pad - Mouse

Salve a tutti! Da quando ho installato il nuovo ubuntu nel portatile Acer Aspire 3000 non funziona più il touchpad.
Inoltre se accendo il pc con collegato al mouse neanche si avvia.

Ho un altro problema che riguarda l'accensione dello schermo; ad ogni accensione devo far andare il pc in standby e poi riattivarlo ed è tutto ok (Questo però non fuziona con il mouse collegato).

Ps : C'è un modo per andare nella barra Applications places system da tastiera ?

Stesso problema, ma con la 11.10, e con un acer aspire 5742G  :-\
Funziona solo il mouse, che sono così costretto a portarmi costantemente dietro!!!  >:(
Qualcuno ha una soluzione!?

P.S. con la 10.04 non avevo questo problema!

bisogna vedere che tipo di touchpad è, ci sono quelli  alps, quelli che vanno direttamente con synaptics, comunque è una questione di hardware, aspetta che i moderatori ti spostino la discussione

.... Direi che il touchpad me lo "vede"... Solo che non saprei come farglielo attivare...
Ho già scaricato i pacchetti in qualche modo legati ma senza effetti... Anche quando vado tra le impostazioni di sistema, sotto la voce mouse e touchpad mi dà le impostazioni, come se ci fosse e funzionasse bene ma in realtà non funziona per niente!!

Stesso problema con il mio notebook HP Pavillion DV7, dopo installazione di Ubuntu 11.10 il touch pad non funziona più, ma se collego il mouse, si. Aiutatemi  :'(

Io ho un ASUS MA ho risolto così... Se il touchpad è un ELantech potete provare questo... massimo tornare indietro è facile, basta sostituire i valori con quelli iniziali..
