[Risolto] [Supporto] ubuntu di botto non stampa più

Ho un problema grosso. Ubuntu, di botto e senza alcun intervento da parte mia, ha smesso di stampare. Ho provato diverse stampanti, tutte sono riconosciute, tutte stampano la pagina di prova, ma non riesco più a stampare niente. Né da Open Office, né da .pdf. Ogni stampante fa partire una pagina bianca, e Ubuntu segnala problemi di stampa.

controlla la coda di stampa e prova ad eliminare tutti i lavori in sospeso  :)

Secondo me, c'è qualcosa che va in timeout arrestando il funzionamento della stampante.

Da terminale postami questi comandi colla stampante inserita:

dopo aver avviato la stampa e si riblocca, da terminale postami questi comandi:

poi ho messo in relazione alcune informazioni e:

quì dice che non c'è nessuna interfaccia richiamata da usblp; come se la stampante non fosse collegata.

Hai collegato la stampante ad un hub usb oppure direttamente ad una porta usb?

il filtro footmatic-rip è andato in crash bloccando la stampante e forzando la terminazione del processo di stampa.

Prova ad andare in Sistema > Amministrazione > Stampa;

disinstalla la stampante Samsung e reinstallala, è possibile che il driver non è stato installato correttamente.

Quando hai scelto il filtro hai selezionato questo?

grazie mille.

allora: la stampante è su USB diretta col PC non su Hub.
pensare che ho preso una Samsung perché (solo a parole, pare...) era compatibile con Linux.

il fatto che con http://foo2qpdl.rkkda.com/ ci si debba smazzare così per la stampa mi pare indicativo... o no?

in questo caso mi spiace ma windows 1 ubuntu 0 infatti se stampo adesso è solo perché switcho il sistema su win xp. e lì almeno la stampante la riconosce.

comunque grazie per lo sbattimento proverò a seguire i vs. consigli. grazie ancora ci mancherebbe!

pensare che ho preso una Samsung perché (solo a parole, pare...) era compatibile con Linux.

Mah, io quasi mai vedo sui siti dei prodotti delle aziende di hardware elencati driver per linux. E se qualche volta, oltre a quelli di windows e mac, ci sono allora in genere sono vecchissimi rispetto a quelli per altre piattaforme (yes)

È probabile che il driver generico sia valido per tutti i prodotti della serie. A volte le differenze tra modello e modello sono simili  (yes)

È molto probabile che sia come scrive magozurlinux, cioè che i driver siano già integrati nel sistema (su windows devi invece installarli a parte  ;D ), ma che si sia incasinato qualcosa per qualche motivo che noi, non essendo lì, non possiamo conoscere.

Ti consiglio di seguire attentamente le indicazioni di magozurlinux che mi sembra abbia centrato il problema  ;)

scusate era l' UnifiedLinuxDriver 1.07 io avevo l'1.00!
per chi dovesse avere una samsung CLP325 (settare come serie CLP320 installando il driver) questo è il driver giusto.
