Mi aggiungo alla discussione. Ho lo stesso problema sopra citato ma per un diverso tipo di aggiornamento (Uso Edubuntu 11.10 aggiornato dalla 11.04).

Il messaggio che appare è il seguente:

Scaricamento delle informazioni del repository non riuscito

Controllare la propria connessione a Internet.

Ho provato a seguire le soluzioni consigliate, ma non sono sicuro di aver fatto bene.

In pratica ho aperto il file resources.list e cancellato le righe relative a tuxfamily e rilanciando l'aggiornamento il messaggio non appare più.
Non sono sicuro però di aver fatto giusto (infatti, aspettando il Vs consiglio,  ho ripristinato il file resources.list), ovvero volevo sapere se dopo questa operazione era necessario dare qualche altro comando.

Vi allego i risultati dei comandi da terminale:
