uso maldestro del terminale; impossibilita aprire software c. e aggiorna sistema

salve,
ho installato ubuntu 11.10 e da novizio ho cercato di inserire nuove list seguendo le istruzioni di questo link (http://www.chimerarevo.com/2011/11/16/u ... x-mint-12/)
risultato:  ora non si apre più il software center e non ricevo gli aggiornamenti, mi si dice di contattare gli sviluppatori. ma neppure questo so fare.

ls /etc/apt/sources.list.d/
cat /etc/apt/sources.list
lsb_release -a
clicca sul tasto cancelletto che ti appare sopra le emoticon quando rispondi e incollaci in mezzo le risposte del terminale.

gli farei togliere  sudo gedit /etc/apt/sources.list che se non ho visto male è finito nel proprio nel sources.list

Grazie mille. risolto seguendo il Vs consiglio.
Ho cmq la versione 11.10.
Quando ho fatto il casino,  stavo tentando di capire come devo fare per ampliare la list dei programmi installabili.  Naturalmente ancora non lo'ho capito ...
