Ciao ragazzi lo so che ci sono un bel po di discussioni su questa chiavetta
in particolare ci sono anche le istruzioni a questo indirizzo

ma non mi viene riconosciuta cmq dal network manager

la chiavetta viene riconosciuta con il codice 14fe invece che 1444 o 1449
quindi la guida del link non va
ho provato a imbrogliare cambiando qualche parametro della guida ma niente
ho provato anche con lo script Sakis3g.... idem con patate

avete suggerimenti??

sto usando ubuntu 10.04 su un netbook Acer One

inutile dire che su win la chiavetta funziona perfettamente...

Sto diventando stupido  ::)
è tutto il pomeriggio che leggo il forum per non aprire un post inutile

adesso ho provato a seguire questa discussione con la chiavetta scollegata

è molto simile alla guida di prima....bene tutto va avanti....
e quando vado a collegare la chiavetta faccio  lsusb
e invece di 12d1:14fe che usciva prima, adesso mi risulta 12d1:1c05    :o  :o

si è cambiato il codice del prodotto??
che è successo??? qualcuno ha cambiato la chiavetta e non me ne sono accorto??
invece di una internet key ho comprato un Transformers???

se qualche anima buona ha una risposta mi fa un gran piacere

adesso vado a letto che mi sono cotto...

Grazie per aver risposto gnomo ma avevo già visto la guida di majorana...

l' usb-modeswitch tra l'altro ce l'avevo già installato perchè prima usavo una chiavetta della 3, sempre huawei, quindi la procedura l'avevo già fatta
questa invece è una chiavetta universale e la luce blu lampeggia, quindi è attiva, ma non riesco a fare la modifica delle connessioni perchè network manager non la vede...

non appare niente fino a quando non vado in risorse, lì la trovo come unità cd smontata, ci clicco sopra e me la monta sul desktop.
dentro ci trovo i vari driver per win e mac
leggendo i vari forum da quello che ho capito NM per poterla vedere c'è bisogno di cambiare il codice del prodotto da 1449 a 1444
e tutti hanno risolto così e anche disattivando il PIN della sim
a me già in partenza il cod. prod. è diverso (14fe)
dando il comando

in teoria avrei dovuto risolvere, invece mi cambia il cod.prod. in 1c05

il codice 14fe si deve cambiare in 1506 per passare da unità cd a modem e fin qui....

poi seguendo le istruzioni:

effettivamente il codice cambia ma ad ogni riavvio torna al codice come unità cd

a meno che non memorizzi lo script e il codice cambia in automatico... e sempre fin qui ci siamo perchè fa tutto.

solo che NM proprio non ne vuole sapere di vederlo il modem  ::)

ho provato ad avviare con la chiavetta inserita e non,
ho provato con la chiavetta montata e non,

e per finire: se riavvio il netbook con la chiavetta inserita si blocca il portatile (se spengo e basta non succede niente di strano)

la cosa che mi sembra strana è che prima usavo una huawei e169 della 3 e tutto sto casino di PIN, di codici e bla bla bla non c'era.... una volta installato l'usb_modeswitch  partiva senza problemi...  :'(

altri suggerimenti?

qui trovi la versione di sakis 3g, (se puoi connetterti ad internet in un altro modo) per la tua architettura, 32 o 64 bit

32 bit http://www.sakis3g.org/versions/latest/i386/sakis3g.gz
64 bit http://www.sakis3g.org/versions/latest/amd64/sakis3g.gz

scarica il file e copialo nella cartella home
Ora sul terminale dai il comando sotto e invio

Codice: Seleziona tutto
gunzip sakis3g.gz
chmod +x sakis3g
./sakis3g --interactive


Ora con sakis aperto e chiavetta inserita, si tratta solo di premere su Connect with 3G e scegliere sempre l'opzione più in alto, nel giro di 2-3 clic dovresti essere connesso.Per disconnettersi riapri sakis3g e premi su disconneti. nella finestra di sakis con more option cè la voce create shorcut on desktop che crea l'icona sul desktop o nella cartella home per avviare ogni volta sakis senza i comandi da terminale

in genere è proprio smontando il cd virtuale che cambia la modalità (yes)

solo che NM proprio non ne vuole sapere di vederlo il modem 

ho provato ad avviare con la chiavetta inserita e non,

quali operazioni hai eseguito in dettaglio per connetterti con il network manager? Puoi realizzare qualche screen? ;)

e per finire: se riavvio il netbook con la chiavetta inserita si blocca il portatile (se spengo e basta non succede niente di strano)

questo sembra un bug, anche se non posso metterci la mano sul fuoco. Puoi descrivere meglio la situazione?
Inoltre potrebbe essere utile vedere un po' quello che succede a livello di kernel. Digita:

Scusate ragazzi ma stavo facendo varie prove..

Intanto un grazie a daigo perchè con Sakis3g funziona perfettamente e in più ho visto che mette in automatico come opzione network il codice 22299 che serve alla sim della 3 a non andare in roaming...   (good)

poi non so cosa è successo dopo che ho fatto partire Sakis

adesso anche network manager riconosce la chiavetta come modem

cosa è successo non lo so

ora metto in ogni caso RISOLTO ma il perchè.... boh??

di che stiamo parlando?

e non so se riaprire la discussione o postarla come altro problema perchè in realta con NM non ho risolto ho aggirato il problema

anche oggi ho provato ed è tutto come spiegato ieri, anche il blocco del portatile al riavvio...

praticamente si spegne e si riaccende con schermata nera ancora prima di poter scegliere se entrare nel bios

per curiosità ho anche provato ad installare Gnome-ppp

beh neanche lui rileva il modem fino a quando non uso Sakis

quindi la domanda è: cosa mai attiverà Sakis che NM e Gnome-ppp non riescono??  :-\
