connessione wifi a "LED" per ubuntu 12.04

ciao a tutti,
premetto che sono al primo utilizzo di ubuntu e che tutto sommato ho risolto un pochino di problemi ma questo proprio non so come fare! ::)
Accedo al sistema e la connessione wifi funziona dopo 3-4 minuti non va più e mi chiede di inserire la password, lo faccio e rifunziona...ma dopo due o tre volte che lo faccio impazzisce, e continua a cercare di connettersi, ma niente....
se mi collego con il cavo funziona! credo di aver controllato tutto e mi pare che sia tutto ok!!! non riesco a capire cosa non va!!! >:( >:( >:(

...è un bug, anche a me lo fa, sia con una penna tp-link (non ricordo il modello) che usa il modulo del kernel ar9170usb , sia con quella integrata broadcom che usa il modulo del kernel b43 . Su un'altro portatile invece che usa il modulo athk9 non mi da problemi.

Devo dire pero che con il nuovo kernel 3.0 la penna usa il nuovo modulo carl9170 che non mi sta dando il problema  (good)

Quindi, quando ti fa cosi, se si tratta di una penna puoi scollegarla e riattaccarla (fisicamente) questo sarebbe il metodo brutale  ;D oppure molto elegantemente dai i seguenti comandi prima uno e dopo l'altro nell'ordine:

modprobe -r (nome modulo del kernel)

modprobe -v (nome modulo del kernel)

...per sapere il modulo del kernel del tuo device vedi l'output del comando:

lsmod

..e anche l'output del comando:

lshw -C network

...nella voce "driver:"

Per sapere di più riguardo il tuo device wireless bisogna vedere anche l'output dei comandi

lsusb

se si tratta di una penna e:

lspci

lspci -n

...nel caso sia integrato nel pc

Ti da errore perché stai dando i comandi da utente e non d'amministratore di sistema, ossia root, per aver ei privilegi di amministratore sul terminale da il comando:

sudo -s

..poi metti la password (ti sembrerà che il prompt non scrive ma lo sta facendo  )

Quando la shell da $ ti diventa # significa che sei come utente root. ATTENZIONE con la shell di root si possono fare danni seri

I comandi: modprobe -r ath9k  e  modprobe -v ath9k  servono a "caricare" e "smontare" i moduli in modo dinamico dal kernel, quindi è come se tu prendessi per esempio, una penna wireless e la stacchi fisicamente dall'ingresso usb per poi rimetterla o una scheda pci che la stacchi dallo slot e la rimetti (più e meno cosi)  :-[

Io tutt'ora oggi devo dare questi comandi da terminale ma con il mio modulo perché mi fa la stessa cosa  (bad) , alcuni giorni no altri si, credo che dipenda dal traffico di rete  :-\

...ah! , quindi neanche con il comando modprobe -r e modprobe -v va?  :o

...appena puoi postaci gli outputs dei comandi (anche quelli chiesti molto prima  ), ricorda d'usare i pulsanti sopra l'area di risposta  ;)

...e aggiungi pure l'output del comando:

ls /lib/firmware
