Problema stampante EPSON Stylus Photo R200

Ciao a tutti, ho messo da poco Ubuntu in ufficio ma ho un problema con la stampante Epson Stylus Photo R200, non riesco a vedere il monitor inchiostro, ho cercato su Ubuntu software centre ed ho trovato Mtink ma quando lo avvio mi compare la scritta " Nessun accesso al file del dispositivo stampante assicurati che mtink abbia i diritti per accedere ai file dispositivo. Fai anche riferimento alla documentazione".
Ho installato anche la documentazione ma non la trovo, potete aiutarmi??

Se usi Ubuntu 11.10 c'è un bug in una libreria di CUPS che impedisce il caricamento del modulo driver usblp, impedendo il corretto funzionamento delle stampanti usb.

Invece di inviare le immagini, clicca sul tag code e fai copia e incolla dell'output da terminale.

La stampante non funziona correttamente perchè il modulo driver usblp viene rimosso dal sistema dopo essere stata rilevata, suppongo che si tratti di un nuovo bug nel modulo CUPS (vedi foto).

Da terminale prova a dare questo comando:

Ho visto che ti chiede la porta della stampante; da terminale prova a dare questo comando:

Stessa cosa, finestra programma aperta come in precedenza ed immobile anche clikkando sul tasto avanti.

Guarda, io ho Ubuntu 12.04 e la R200 funziona out of the box. Funziona anche mtink
Se la stampante funziona regolarmente, devi aggiungere il tuo nome utente al gruppo lp, con il comando

sudo usermod -aG lp <username>

dove al posto di <username> devi mettere il tuo nome utente.

Poi fai un bel restart e riprova mtink (o sudo mtink).
Naturalmente la stampante dev'essere direttamente connessa al PC, non tramite print server.

Guarda lo screenshot, mtink funziona da terminale anche senza sudo.
Controlla che i settaggi della stampante siano come quelli nello screenshot.
Postami anche il risultato del comando

Quando apro la stampante esce quello che vedi.

Il driver sembra ok, suppongo che la stampante funzioni regolarmente.
Scusa, ma hai provato in mtink a selezionare /dev/usb/lp0 e andare avanti ?
Dovrebbe proporti la scelta del modello di stampante e poi darti i livelli di inchiostro.
Se no, che errore ti da ?

Hai ragione, ora funziona! Sono un cogl**** io che non avevo selezionato /dev/usb/lp0, dopo l'errore che ti ho riportato, ho riavviato ed ora tutto ok. Grazie

Ciao ho un nuovo problema:
ho tolto ubuntu e messo su linux mint 13 mate, ora però la stampante non mi funziona (la stessa r200) non mistampa nemmeno la pagina di prova. Ho trovato i driver qui http://download.ebz.epson.net/dsc/searc ... archModule, ho installato gli ultimi 2 driver con estensione .deb ma niente da fare ora mi sono scaricato anche gli altri .tar.bz e li vorrei installare come nella guida http://wiki.ubuntu-it.org/Amministrazio ... DaSorgenti ma quando do il comando ./configure --prefix=/usr mi appare questo:

con il gestore pacchetti ho installato cupsconfig (cups-config non c'è) ma il risultato è sempre lo stesso.
