Esatto. Io ho un ASUS M6V e la temperatura della CPU rimane circa sui 58 con un utilizzo normale. Con i driver propietari metto la scheda grafica al minimo della potenza e vado che è una bomba... Ovviamente ogni tanto la ventola parte, ma sta accesa circa cinque min e poi si spegne per un oretta buona.

L'aggiornamento da Edgy a Feisty è stato indolore, se non fosse per il fatto che la risoluzione sia stata impostata a "1280x720" , la risoluzione di un HDTV!!! Non riesco a vedere bene nulla. Fosse 1024x768 capirei, ma perché una risoluzione non standard? Uso i driver fglrx per la mia Ati Radeon X800 GTO², il modulo è attivo anche sul nuovo kernel. In xorg.conf avevo inserito un'istruzione Modeline creata con

Dobbiamo proprio aspettare un prossimo aggiornamento o esiste qualche walkaround?

[EDIT]Ho rimosso la linea Modeline a xorg.conf, adesso lo schermo è tornato a 1280x1024 a 75Hz. Che problemi ha??? :-\[/EDIT]

Ma non è capitato a nessuno? Mi sembra veramente strano che con l'istruzione Modeline creata con gtf 1280 1024 60 Feisty capisca un 1280x720 a 60 Hz... tutto ciò di cui ho bisogno è il refresh a 60 Hz sulla mia risoluzione. Impostare l'HorizSync e il VertRefresh (con i parametri giustissimi oppure solo con la frequenza che voglio) non fa altro che incasinare lo schermo, che mi dà un messaggio osd "OUT OF RANGE!". Su edgy avevo impostato solo il modeline, ed era tutto ok. Vi posto il mio xorg.conf, nel caso in cui qualcuno abbia trovato il mio stesso problema:

Ovviamente i diesis prima delle righe delle frequenze e il modeline li ho messi per bloccare quelle istruzioni... adesso sto di default a 1280x1024 @75Hz.
