[RISOLTO] [NVidia] Configurazione Geforce 6100

Ciao a tutti...ho appena installato Ubuntu 6.10 e non riesco a installare i driver della scheda grafica

ho seguito ciò che era descritto in questa wiki

ma arrivato qui

sudo sh NVIDIA-Linux-x86-1.0-8756-pkg1.run

mi da un messaggio di errore relativo al comilatore gcc

cercando un pò in internet e nei vari forum mi hanno consigliato di vedere che versioni ho di gcc

digito

gcc -dumpversion
3.4.6

e

cat /proc/version
....gcc version 4.1.2 20060928....

ora come faccio a aggiornare la versione di gcc 3.4.6 e portarla a 4.1.2

e soprattutto qusto mi servirà per riuscire finalmente ad installare i driver della mia(maledetta) NVIDIA Geforce 6100? >:(
