Impostare profondità colore a 24 bit

Prova a rimuovere i driver proprietari ed usare quelli OPEN, sul mio Samsung NP305 su Precise devo usare i driver proprietari, ma su Quantal sto usando quelli OPEN

C'è un piccolo problema, non usa ne i proprietari ne gli open , penso stia usando la intel integrata per ora, abbiamo provato ad installare i driver closed ma senza risultati, gli open AMD/ATI non sono gli xserver-xorg-video-ati, *-radeon e *-radeonhd ?

Si, cmq dovrebbe provare a fare l'aggiornamento di xserver-xorg-core, occhio che alcuni pacchetti di xserver su Quantal non hanno ancora le dipendenze a posto ma in generale buona parte delle dipendenze è ok e di procedere con l'update da synaptic/gestore pacchetti.

Io con qualtal mi sono trovato bene con i driver dal ppa degli edgers, che ne pensi ? @Alche quando puoi posta xorg.conf, se non c'è l'hai, ti dico com crearlo partendo dal server x attivo .

xorg.conf si trovava in /etc/X11 ma è obsoleto, sono parecchie versioni che non esiste più salvo casi particolari.

Non è obsoleto, e solo che la grafica viene gestita direttamente dal sistema, ma in caso di bisogno, si può creare per modificarne le impostazioni .

così tutti i monitor , anche quelli che eventualmente attacherai , useranno lo stesso parametro, altrimenti modifica solo la prima sezione screen per il tuo primo ed unico monitor collegato , salva e riavvia .

Vedi che come monitor collegato intentedevo quello del portatile : 1)Sempre collegato con un cavo, anche se interno, è 2)LCD è sempre un monitor , no ? .

Quindi ubuntu non supporta i 32 bit del mio schermo?
Comunque continuo a non avere né 24 bit né 32.
Ma c'è qualcosa di risolvibile? Il software sources che non funziona da 2 mesi, la profondità colore che non si può impostare.

Dovrebbe se te li ha impostati, dovresti solo provare un riavvio, verrò utilizzato xorg.conf. 2) Siccome tu insistevi a volere la profondità a 24 , non pensavo volevi la massima. Allora senza midificare xorg.conf , riavvia e vedi come va .
