hai la versione 10.10 maverick,che non è più supportata, installa una versione supportata,tipo 12.04 LTS, che ti consiglio perchè supportata fino al 2017

ma cerchi di fare l'avanzamento di versione tramite internet?per farlo dovresti cambiare il sources.list con i repo EOL,ma non conviene, visto che dovresti passare per tutte le release almeno ad arrivare a 12.04 (11.04->11.10->12.04) non conviene sia per il tempo che ci metti,sia per il fatto che potresti arrivare al termine con grossi problemi.
Scarica la iso di 12.04 e fai una nuova installazione.....prima fatti il backup dei dati

allora scarica e installa xubuntu 12.04 che LTS supportata fino al 2015

salva i dati su un hd esterno o se hai una partizione dati a parte salvali su quella e poi reinstalla sulle partizioni che hai già per ubuntu 10.10

sì, la bacchetta magica...

ti ha già detto che non sono errori, è la versione che non è supportata
ti ha già spiegato il perchè non conviene fare gli avanzamenti, ma installare una nuova previo backup dei dati
tutte cose che trovi anche sul wiki o con la prima ricerca su google

in tutti ci metti un'ora a dire tantissimo, a fare gli avanzamenti (e comunque richiedono un backup per sicurezza...) mezza giornata
fai un po' tu..
