[RISOLTO]Ubuntu non mi fa connettere più al wifi

Fino a l'altro ieri andava tutto bene, adesso però continua a dirmi che sono fuori dalla rete, cerca di connettersi alla rete lan in automatico e non mi vede nessuna rete wifi. Cosa fare?
Il pc è ripartito in windows 7 e ubuntu e con windows il wifi funziona.
Scusate se la descrizione del problema è troppo scarna, ditemi di quali dati avete bisogno.

boh,io non sono esperto ,ma potresti intanto postare glli output di questi che potrebbero essere utili per capire meglio la situazione,nell'attesa che qualcuno esperto intervenga,dai i comandi uno alla volta ,seguiti da invio e password quando te la chiede

Per postare correttamente i risultati del terminale e/o listati sul forum basta:

• 1. selezionare il testo del terminale
  2. tasto destro copia (in alternativa premere Ctrl + maiusc + C)

Proviamo intanto a sistemare la connessione via cavo?
Collega il tuo PC con il cavo Ethernet al router e poi postami gli output di questi comandi

Ora si è connesso col cavo!
Ho dato questi comandi che elenco sotto; ho provato anche a fare aggiornamenti da "Aggiornamenti software", ma mi dice che impossibile e che devo controllare la connessione (mentre è connesso col cavo).
Continua a non vedere nessuna rete wifi.

allora,stai usando una distro fuori supporto,ubuntu 12.10 e infatti non ti permette di aggiornare e installare pacchetti,perchè i repository ormai sono chiusi,reinstalla una versione supportata ,scarica 14.04 LTS e magari risolvi automaticamente tutti i problemi di connessione

Sul sito ufficiale c'era scritto che per arrivare alla 14.04 LTS avrei dovuto fare diversi upgrade (tipo dalla 12.10, alla 13.10 e poi alla 14.04, ora non ricordo bene).
Ho provato a farli connessa al cavo, ma c'era qualche problema, non ce la faceva.
Così ho cancellato la partizione e sto cercando di farne direttamente una nuova con l'ultima versione, ma ho comunque dei problemi... ho aperto una discussione nella apposita sezione... Scriverò poi qua se si è risolto il problema del wifi.

Ho scaricato l'ultima versione e tutti gli aggiornamenti, sono andata su Software e aggiornamenti e nella sezione dei driver aggiuntivi ho modificato la selezione relativa alla scheda di rete (da "non usare" a "in uso"); tutte cose che con la versione vecchia non potevo fare.
