Ciao a tutti,
non sapevo bene dove aprire questa discussione in realtà, spero di essere nella sezione giusta.
Come da titolo, sto lavorando con una libreria C++ (se interessa, questa) in remoto via ssh sui computer del cluster della mia università, facendo in remoto sia calcoli che plot. La connessione grafica è stabilita passando le opzioni -CY a ssh.
Ogni tanto, apparentemente a random, quando faccio andare un job sul computer remoto e poi provo a interromperlo usando Ctrl-C, succede che sul mio computer locale (Ubuntu 14.04) lo schermo diventa nero per qualche secondo e il sistema operativo si slogga dalla sessione. Quando lo schermo torna vivo, mi ritrovo nella schermata di login di lightdm. Ovviamente quando mi riloggo tutte le finestre che avevo aperto sono chiuse e i file non salvati sono persi.
Ho provato a cercare su google, ma non ho trovato niente (forse ho usato le keyword sbagliate). Non so sinceramente cosa pensare, soprattutto visto che il job che viene interrotto è in remoto e quindi nella mia mente non dovrebbe influenzare in alcun modo il mio sistema locale.
Avete idee su cosa possa essere la causa di questo comportamento?
Se serve che io alleghi qualche file log chiedete pure, non ho postato niente perché non saprei neanche su quale file log trovare l'errore.

Provato a controllare i log di Xorg?
Li trovi dentro la cartella /var/log/.

Scusa il ritardo, ma quest'ultimo mese ho lavorato su altro e non ho più usato la libreria che mi dava problemi.
Ieri sono tornato a usarla e, puntualmente, ecco il crash. Ho provato a vedere il file di log che mi avevi indicato ma sinceramente non trovo niente che non vada.
